Get Out On The Water
Getting out on the water to go swimming, fishing, or boating is not only a lot of fun but it is actually a great start to protecting our water! The more you are on the water, the more likely it is you’ll think about protecting it. While you are swimming, getting out your fishing pole, or taking a boat ride maybe you’ll start to notice trash or pollutants floating in the water. These pollutants can ruin the beautiful views and can cause harm to the environment.
While getting out on the water is many peoples ideal summer activity, not everyone has direct access to our lakes and rivers. This lack of access prevents people from taking action, out of sight – out of mind. When people get on the water, they often want to do more to take care of a resource they can use and enjoy.
